We are looking to recruit a Head Chef (40-48 hrs a week) to lead our kitchen team to continue to deliver quality food, ensuring all necessary compliance is being adhered to.
The ideal candidate will have a wealth of experience in a similar style operation with a passion for great quality food, served consistently and at a high volume. We love great "pub" food, decent portions and bit of variety but we aren't necessarily trying to be a restaurant per se, we just need someone that understands our business and also our limitations in space and team.
You'll be a great trainer and excel in developing your own team and driving standards throughout. You'll be organised and have a sound understanding of business financials as well as Food and Health & Safety laws.
We are a small family run business and the directors are heavily involved in the day to day operations and we genuinely care about what goes on in our pubs and try to ensure that our staff enjoy their jobs and that we have a positive work environment. You would be playing a major part in that and we would expect you be fully involved and bought into what The Wellie has to offer by working closely with the existing management team.
